Hi James and Welcome to the forum and the addictive world of Discus keeping :)
I really like Eheim externals and are the best in my opinion.
I was looking to get an Eheim pro 3 and it,s for tanks up to 600ltrs.
Will do the job really good, but if you check out Eheims website you do get a big choice of filters and it does get hard to choose one.

Cheers Billy,in the past I have always used Eheim for external, and Fluval for internal, doesnt sound right that, but you know what i mean, just thought that 17 years on some of the cheaper makes would have caught up.Trying to keep down the costs as much as possible, but also want some descent kit to work with, would rather spend the cash on descent fish. Will have to do some internet trawling and decide.
Got another little question,as i live beside Aberdeen, where is the nearest quality supplier of discus?
Cheers

Any of u guys n girls have a Eheim 2075 Professional 3,found it for sale £151 including media, only uses 16w,and for tanks upto 600ltr,I like this filter, would suit me good i think, any thoughts. Cheers Cotter.
Hi James,
The 2075 is the filter that was recomended to me and at that price is the cheapest i have seen.
The flow can be adjusted if you think it will be too much and i think i will just go and order this filter myself :)
Billy,
