Hi Marc. We, the UKDC, have a show in the UK for discus which is normally in October at Hayling Island.
There is a form to fill in and such like. I'm sure Mick will give links to the relevent form to show fish.
The rules are, you are given the water parameters that the water will be in the show tanks, it's up to you to climatise the fiah to these parameters. You fill the form in caregorising the fish, You bring the fish to the show, you bench the fish before the deadline. Then you hope you win, then if you do you pick up a very nice trophy.
There should be more info on the home page. www.ukdiscus.co.uk

???? From Paignton? You're just down the road haha! A long trip is from Singapore. Last year we had entrants from Poland, Ireland and a few from Germany.
I'm not sure of the exact numbers but, I was knackered after the event talking to people. So yeah, we get quit a few.
If you aren't going to bing a few fish, definately pop up and introduce yourself, and maybe stay for the nightly shennanigans!!
